Sathya Sai Centre – Kenya was fortunate to be paid a visit by our Zonal Chair, Mr. Ramesh Hathiramani on Mar 14, 2019. He addressed all the devotees after the bhajan session. His speech is presented below for those who were unable to attend.

14th March 2019 – Zone Chair’s Address to Nairobi Centre Devotees

My Humble Pranam to the divine lotus feet of our Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Respected Trustees, Centre Presidents (Nairobi and Mombasa), Devotees, Brothers and Sisters:

Om Sai Ram!

It is indeed an honour and an inordinate privilege to be here and address this August Gathering.

I am pleased to observe that your unconditional love and unparalleled affections have the gravitational pull which propels me to undertake regular visits to SSIO Kenya. The underlying feeling of elation is indescribable. Nonetheless, I would like to highlight few marvelous facts which I believe will serve as food for thought for this August Gathering.

Incessant Quest for Excellence and Interminable Pursuit of Spiritual Bliss has contoured Sathya Sai Nairobi Centre as one of the Pristine Spiritual Haven in Kenya. Unwavering Commitment of the Trustees and Administrative Officials have enabled sustenance of this institution for years in succession. We comprehend that, by the divine grace of Sai Baba – the Trustees will continue their relentless efforts for All-Inclusive Participative Membership cutting across religions, faiths and ethnicity.

Swami taught us that through steady faith one can attain divinity. I call upon all SSIO Kenya officials to have faith in their own Self. Development of self-confidence and self-satisfaction shall be undertaken as a continuous process. We can only be satisfied when our conscience indicates from deep within that we have sincerely served the objectives of humanity in line with SSIO guidelines and principles.

We extol God as omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent, but, we ignore his presence in ourselves. Some of us describe the attributes of God and proclaim him to be such and such, but, these are own guesses and the reflections of our own predilections and preferences. The religion of humanity is the sum and substance of all faiths, for there is only one religion and that is the religion of Love.

One of the basic quality every member of the Sathya Sai International Organisation should have is firm faith in God. This faith must be based on the awareness that God is Omnipresent. The Divine pervades everything in the Universe. Whether one accepts this fact or not, the truth is, evidence of the presence of God can be found wherever one turns.

It is not possible for this boundless creation to be brought into existence by man, if there had been no Divine Principle behind it. It is the inherent, all-pervasive power of the Divine that reveals itself in numerous ways. No one can probe the mystery of the power of the Divine or grasp its infinite magnitude. It is with faith that one should take up social service. Society is our primary concern. The Divine is manifest in society.

Given the size and dimensions of SSIO activities undertaken in Kenya, one can easily comprehend that the road ahead is challenging and exciting simultaneously. I am sure that SSIO Kenya Team will undertake all judicious, reasonable and logical steps to achieve the objectives set out in it’s charter. We remain grateful for the endeavours of SSIO Kenya officials who have put in their heart and soul in the organisation’s affairs. While we appreciate their superfluous efforts, we acknowledge that we would have not been standing here without their focused and determined pursuit of divine glory. We hope and believe that Team Kenya will continue the pursuit of excellence and will raise the bar higher.

My interaction with the team has led me to believe that their insatiable enthusiasm and zeal will surpass past achievements whereby SSIO Kenya will charter a distinct roadmap to glorious heights with All Inclusive Societal participation and development.

I would like to sum it up with Swami’s quote on happiness – “Strive for the happiness, the joy of all others – as earnestly as you strive for your own. Strive for the peace of the world – as diligently as you strive for your own. That is true divinity and true humanity” May Baba continue to bless and preserve You All !

These are some of the major events and festivals that will be celebrated at Sri Sathya Sai Centre – Kenya.

Message From Sri Sathya Sai Centre, Mombasa

Aum Sri Sai Ram,

You must have heard thru the media on the floods situation in Kilifi County. Many areas of the County have been affected by floods as heavy rains continue to pound various parts of the country. The floods have hit villages after River Sabaki broke its banks few days ago. Thousands of very needy families with little children totalling over approx 23,000 were displaced due to flood waters at various villages and are urgently in need of various necessities for their day-to-day existence.

By Swami’s grace, Shri Sathya Sai Centre, Mombasa have quickly reacted to the appeal for assistance and the basic needs assessed to help 1300 Families are:

Day One - Sri Sathya Sai Ghat Inauguration in Rishikesh

The first day of the Sri Sathya Sai Ghat inauguration was filled with ritualistic offerings to Mother Ganges. It was so nice to see Brother Veda Narayana and team from Prasanthi take up the whole proceedings with excellent rendition of relevant mantras for the occasion. It was so nice of the think tank to choose these noble souls instead of so called BIG priests many of whom have shifted their loyalties, after getting fame and name courtesy of Swami.

The live proceedings of the whole ceremony was icing on the cake and the whole team of SAIONE APP, Sri Sathya Sai Organisations need a special appreciation for this effort. At around 8:30PM, the blessed devotees took part in the Ganga arathi which was followed by Swami’s arathi in Rishikesh which indeed is an emotional moment for all the assembled devotees.

In the Cosmic Classroom,
It is Graduation day for all of us,
From being little saplings under the Evergreen Tree…
…coming into our own as a shade giving tree,
From a mere fledgling, to a bird that can fly on its own,
For the Beloved Master taught us how to fly…
…and is always the Wind beneath our wings…
From the cocoon emerges a butterfly flying free…
…its colours shining bright…
…bringing hope and cheer to innumerable many. Read more…
