Om Sri Sai Ram

Om Sri Sai Ram! We offer our Koti Koti Pranams at the Lotus feet of Bhagwan Baba.

On this auspicious Ramnavami day, with Swami’s grace and blessings we have launched the new website for the Centre. The objective of setting up this website was to help people to understand the goals of the Sathya Sai Organisation and to follow the activities of the Nairobi Centre. It will also enable all the devotees to keep informed of all the activities at the centre through the calendar and to easily access contact information for the committee members and trustees.

This blog is also a medium to write articles about major activities, events and functions of the Nairobi Centre. We also invite devotees who want to share their Sai experiences with the Sai family, to write an article for the blog and share the joy with everyone. Sai Ram.

    Sairam,

Dear brother.Hardip and all brothers and sisters.

    Congratulations.

Swami helped us through the instruments of Neeraj and his associates in revamping our web site.

I feel so blessed that Swami’s Grace brought me in as the first blogger at the site
    yesterday.

At the new website, we feel like been pushed out of the frame of a swimming pool onto a spiritual ocean.

At the spiritual ocean we are in, we will be confronted with whales… of a different kind….the whales of wisdom… from whom we can learn the art of survival in our struggle to obtain irrevocable freedom.

In the process of diving with the whales, we will not be rest content with the pebbles of psychological comforts that we may derive at the shallow levels of spiritual practices, but be steadfast till we detect the pearl of liberation hidden at great depths, obtainable at the expense of great efforts and that too..only with SWAMI’S GRACE.

In short this website is an inter-net to catch that pearl.

This “website” will be a powerful and perpetual “Satsang sans frontiers” of modern times.

Please come in, inviting with you all those whom you know, will be well receptive and willing to share spiritual experiences, thoughts and show pathways through this “cyber satsang”.

Let us aspire to learn from, render every possible assistance to, communicate every single spiritual thought with grace to, those who are in common pursuit for spiritual elevation and liberation into the realm of SAI.

    In Sai love to all,
    Venkat.

    Sairam.
    Dear all,
Our past actions decide our present destiny.
Our present actions will decide our future destiny.
This much some of us know very well.
But Swamy says there is one “inevitable destiny” for every living being!!!
    Now what is this?
Please refer to the thought for the day dated 4th April 2010.
    With love to all,
    Venkat

    Sairam.
For those who could not download and see ‘thought for the day’ dated 4th April 2010 to understand what swami meant by ‘ineviatable destiny’ of all living beings given below the copy of the message:-
    ——————————————–
The ‘inevitable destiny’ of every living being is the attainment of perfection and fullness. Our present condition of incompleteness is the consequence of our activities during our previous lives. The thoughts, feelings, passions and acts of past lives have caused the present condition in life. Similarly, our future is being built on the basis of our present deeds and desires, thoughts and feelings. Seek help from the Divine to purify and sublimate your consciousness. Thus, your spiritual progress will be accelerated and you will attain perfection and fullness.
    ———————————————–

    Now as go from here…

until the above stage of ‘inevitable destiny’ of perfection and fullness (freedom from unfulfilled desires) is reached by the living beings, they will be subjected to four kind of ‘dhuka dosham’ i.e ‘inevitable sorrowful evils’. There is no remedy i.e ‘parihar’ or ‘prayachitham’ from the whirlpool of these ‘four ineviable evils’.
what are these four ‘inevitable evils’ to be faced till living beings reach the stage of ‘inevitable destiny’ i.e.perfection and fullness? Janma (birth in a womb), mrithyu (death to be reborn), Jara (oldage), vyadhi (disease).
Are we happy with this recycled existence?
So in addition to our self effort, we should seek help from the Divine to purify and sublimate our consciousness. Thus, our spiritual progress will be accelerated and we will attain perfection and fullness.
    Sairam.
    Venkat.

    Sairam.
Entire living beings including men and women (with their worldly attainments) are like flowers of different kinds to Swami. However, to Swami, men and women of virtues, are of higher class of flowers..i.e..flowers with fragrance.
How to obtain and maintain this fragrance of virtues??
Swami’s message as thought for the day dated 12th April 2010 shows us the way.
    Love to all,
    venkat

    Dear all,
    Sairam

For those who could not read the ‘thought for the day’ posted on the 12th April 2010..it is reproduced below:-
    ————————-
“You may have outstanding physical beauty. You may have the sparkle of robust youth. You may be from a high and noble lineage. You may be a famed scholar. However, if you lack the virtues that only spiritual discipline can ensure, you will be reckoned only as a beautiful flower with no fragrance. You must live in accordance with the prescriptions from the Scriptures and perform actions with the attitude that is needed to preserve the status you have gained as the highest soul amongst animals and living beings”
    ———————————
A peacock may spread his feathers and dance most beautifully…it is like a flower to Swamy in creation.
A lion is most daring and can kill other beasts much bigger than him.. it is just a flower to Swamy in creation.
A swan is a gracious and noble bird.. still it is just another flower to Swamy in creation.
A parrot can quickly learn to repeat scholarly words taught to it.. it is just like a flower in creation to Swamy.
Similarly man, despite his unique discriminating faculty, if he lacks the virtues ordained by the spiritual discipline and is satisfied with his beautiful physical disposition, daring youth, gracious and noble lineage and objective knowledge.. he is no different from the above living beings ..peacock..lion..swan or a parrot.
But a man… who leads a life of discipline according to scriptures remembering always his unique status among all living beings and also acts to preserve that status which has been denied to all other living beings . is not just a flower.. but a beautiful flower with fragrance to Swamy.
We may not be lacking in all disciplines as contained in the scriptures…be it Bhagwat Geeta, Bible, Quran or Grant Sahib…according to our religious faith. But the virtues we lack we must know. The scriptures are very vast and interpretations are quite confusing many a times. we are not quite knowledgeable about them. So what shall we do?
Here, we have to seek ‘prescriptions’ from Swamy.
Let us say we have a health problem. Supposing we have stomach or head ache, What do we do? We do not seek admission to join a medical college to learn all about our sickness and the medicines to be administered on ourselves. Instead we consult a physician who has already studied medical sciences and obtain his “prescriptions” and act as per his instructions on ‘do’s’ and ‘don’ts” on our daily routines with an interest to restore and retain our health.
So too, we have to take the prescriptions from Swamy for our spiritual deficiencies and perform virtuous actions with an attitude to preserve the status as the highest soul amongst animals and living beings
    with love,
    Venkat
